A Way to Explore Without Loading Chunks

I think that a very simple way to avoid loading chunks while exploring is to stop them from loading when you are at Y level 300+. This would useful in say a server where you and a friend want to build a base at 10,000, 10,000 for whatever reason. To get there while staying in the overworld, you would just fly very high up until you arrive so extra chunks aren’t discovered and they don’t lag your world. This could also be useful if you are looking for a specific biome, fly a far distance, then drop down temporarily, if it’s not what you are looking for, then go back up.
