The invested cave is a biome that has been infested by arthropods. A lot of the stone in this biome is covered in cobwebs, creating a new block called webbed stone, with cobwebs sporadically scattered all over the cave. There will also be huge chunks of silverfish stone blocks.
Spiders and possibly cave spiders will spawn at a higher rate in this biome, along with a few new arthropods.
One new arthropod I have in mind is the spider queen. A spider queen nest will spawn commonly in this biome. A spider queen is a spider at least as big as the ravager that has a similar skin to cave spiders except it has a more robust posterior, prominent fangs, longer legs, and is red. It has about 8 hearts of health. When it attacks it deals poison 2 for 15 seconds, and it also restores it's own health every time it lands an attack.
Spider Queens are hostile to ALL mobs because they are very concerned with staying at full health. The nest itself is a somewhat circular room packed with gilded cobwebs that the queen has painstakingly constructed out of her own gilded silk, which you may occasionally see her weaving into gilded webs. At the center of the nest you will find a cocoon of spider eggs that will hatch the spider queens hatchlings, who are also hostile to everything and will grow into mature spider queens once they have leached enough health from others, but they do not inflict poison. The hatchlings prioritize attacking the mother, who does not retaliate.
The silk should have uses!
