Glow Berries give Night Vision

Glow Berries are a very interesting item that will be coming to Minecraft in the Caves and Cliffs Update.  However, to make them more useful and unique, I suggest that glow berries give the player the night vision status effect for 10 seconds.  This could be a very useful mechanic - for example, if you ever want to take a brief look at a location in full brightness but only for a few seconds, glow berries would be he perfect solution. 

To both balance this feature and make it more interesting, glow berries could also have a 20% chance of giving the player blindness for 20 seconds,

    I would say they should have a 20% chance of doing nothing, but the rest is a very good and unique idea.

    Schneppi1489 The issue with that is that it would allow you to just continue eating glowberries on and on and you would get a continued night vision effect, which would be a bit overpowered in my opinion.  The chance of blindness adds a little risk factor and also implements a natural cooldown of sorts.  Plus, it would just be much more interesting.

    The amount of time it takes should be less than ten seconds I think.

    In the official suggestion of glow berries from 2019, it says glowing effect. I think a 40% chance of getting the glowing effect, %30 chance of getting getting night vision, 20% chance of getting none of the effects and 10% of getting both effects would be cool.

    If we eat glow berries then it shall give 19 seconds of night vision effect

    CNcats I don't think guaranteed night vision would be unbalanced, since you'd have to constantly eat glow berries for constant night vision which would slow down movement significantly and would drain your glow berry supply pretty fast.

    They are too easy to farm. Maybe a 1 percent chance.

    ChipsNachos you wouldn't be able to eat them nonstop because you can't eat once your hunger bar is full (unless that is exclusive to bedrock).

    i think it should just give you night vision for 5 seconds and the glowing effect for 5 seconds as well.

    glow berries only restore one heart so i think this is a great idea! but not for blindness.
