Goat meat and milk

In the recent beta that contained goats it appeared that goats only drop their horns and not their meat or milk. I believe that goats should drop goat meat because they are common farm animal that are eaten all across the world. It has also been a long time since we had a new food animal that we can keep in a farm (the hoglin is too aggressive). Also goats are widely used for their milk just like cows. I'm not saying that there should be a new item but just the ability to milk them. This will definitely give people an incentive to find a way to enclose goats in their base.

    Matt C no, they arent sheep. I've been dying for a new meat type in minecraft for so long. I got so excited when i thought the hoglin would have it's own meat type, until it dropped porkchops. Please make it drop it's OWN meat, so it's actually worth breeding.

    timthewardenminecraft for simplicity's sake, we should just call it "Raw Goat," for the same reason berries have a generic name.

    According to the minecraft wiki, goats can be milked for regular milk. I don't have bedrock edition so I don't know if that's new.

    Puppy boy113812 but WE want to kill goats, and they can't keep trying to stop us from killing every single dang mob they add. That is why so many useless mobs are being added and ruining the game, because of that obsession.

    I love the idea of goat meat and milk! It adds use to breeding them. Here's a sprite I made for goat meat! :)

    No meat is fine, but at least goat milk and goat cheese. A new type of food and maybe even Cheese Cake.

    DarkstalkerMoon ye thats what I hate abaut minecraft. They add all these animals that sound and look cool on paper but in the game they are nothing but aesthetic mobs and it's killing me. They try to make  every animal abaut animal awarness but then it just hurts the game. Thats why they didn't add sharks or a queen bee

    well goats now drop mutton sooo...

    but i think the reason they want you to get the horn without killing them is to make it more interesting and challenging. Also, you can already milk goats.

    Goat meat is also called mutton.

    I still would have rathered the goats drop a new meat, but at least their multiple baby-breeding has a use now with the mutton drop

    Goat and Cow Milk could be used to make different foods, mainly cheese and butter, but possibly ice cream as well. Just to clarify, Goat Milk would be able to make food that Cow Milk cannot, and vice versa

    I find it kind of annoying that Mojang has continually made new animals progressively more useless with their drops to send a message to kids that they shouldn't kill animals. the goats need a more interesting use, and be a food source if you're in a pinch and only have goats around

    Guys, I think mojang has finally got the message that we dont want more useless passive mobs, they gave uses to the goat, axolotl, and glow squid! The only message they seem to be sending is "save the wardens" xD
