Positively Ingenious Idea. It provides the goat mob an actual use to use in farms, without having to actually kill the goat. I hope to see the "under review" tag on this soon. In the meantime, give this post an upvote!
Rainicorn67 you are exactly right. Goats are on the verge of becoming as useless as the polar bear, and this could solve that issue without having to kill the goat
My only concern has to do with something that is sort of related. There is another post for this, but apples should have there own tree, so it should be apple trees instead of oak. (Note that players would be able to more easily harvest apples with the apple tree also, with some leaves occasionally growing apples that can be harvested like berry bushes, dropping one apple.)
I personally think there should only be a chance for the apple to fall since we already have a goat horn dropping. I actually think the same should apply to the goat horn where it only has a certain chance of dropping as well. Don't worry I don't mean a super low chance I just mean a chance both of them combined a drop should happen fairly often. It just doesn't make sense for it to happen all the time. Especially considering how if a goat horn where to break off it should have to regrow it before it could break off again.
This could be really cool since it would be like a risk/reward situation but there aren't a lot of oak trees in the mountain biome, so maybe give spruce trees a unique drop like pinecones
I like the idea of this, Let's say you make a goat ram into an oak tree. An apple drops along with a horn. You have a horn to play, along with an apple. You do this 100 times over and get, let's say, 79 apples. You can already make up to 79 golden apples, depending on how much gold you have. It would be like a straight ticket to victory.
