Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Make bookshelves chests

Please can bookshelves become a form of chests. Either 9 or 27 spaces for books, signed books, enchanted books and book and quills. The bookshelf will gain more books on the block texture with the contents filling up.

    Even without changing the textures, just being able to add books into a shelf would be a nice add. I can see still needing books to create it, but it would be interesting to play with the mechanics of that. i.e. if there are not at least 3 books in the shelf it breaks, etc. You don't want to be able to 'game' the system by being able to create one shelf, steal the books and create another, etc.

    Try making this a block separate from book shelf so that it is still easy to power an enchantment table.
