This right here! I don't think enough players are actually living in the snow biomes for this to become relevant, sadly.

But yhea it is really annoying when am making paths and on the sides it is 1m snow

I'm pretty sure it's a bug that the snow stacks to a full block or even more. It used to melt during daytime after snowfall ended, but for quite some time now, the snow stacks so high that building and living in a snow biome in general is just tedious and annoying. Really hope this topic receives more attention.

An one year old bug? I read that the bug was first intruduced in the 1.16 update? How, WHY isn't this fixed yet?!

It is not like it's an small bug, it litterally makes the snow biomes uninhabited in my opinion

I just started a new world with my family and we're in love with the snowy mountain we started on. But the pile up of snow on the trees is really going to become a pain. It would be ideal if it functioned as it does in java and just applies a single layer where there isn't already one or make it an option to toggle.

I think solution 1 that you suggested would be perfect, maybe 1-3 layers random so it is not always flat because I like the varied levels in the snow biomes a lot, but it does get too much.

On the bright side of things, the bug report reporting the excessive snow stacking is finally labeled as confirmed. It will still takes years before it gets fixed I reckon. The devs are giving it their best but bedrock edition is in a rather rough state at the moment.

Yeah as a map creator, I hate snow stacking. I want weather to show and effect the visuals without actually effecting the overall landscape.

I have mountainous areas that I want snow to be visible in. They already have extremely realistic snow caps that flow down the mountains into rivers. These are the only places snow layers exist. And they shouldn't be changed at all. I want to disable the snow stacking feature just so it doesn't effect anything too much.

Java now has an option to control snow stacking, all they have to do now is add it to Bedrock.

Please add this. The more I look at snow piling in bedrock the more I hate it, I wanna see pretty flat snowy landscapes

Still aint fixed. I hate this game man, just spent a few day building a castle on a mountain and the snow just keeps on stacking up. They wont fix it tho, as long as they get money from their marketplace, they dont give a fu

Your first solution seems to be the most logical. It makes perfect sense for snow to melt when it's sunny!

Infinite snow stacking is really annoying and turns building in snowy biomes into a painful experience... I hope it'll get fixed!!

As somebody who always tries to settle in snowy biomes, It gets really annoying in long term worlds when my house or door way becomes entirely useless without a constant supply of shovels. Not only can it get in the way, but it also tends to make a former flat looking snowscape become extremely bumpy.

It’s extremely frustrating. It’s ridiculous how Mojang can’t transfer the game rule which works perfectly well in Java to Bedrock. I really wish they’d do something about this, as it’s just impossible to spend any amount of time in the snow. Anything, and I mean anything you build will be completely coated in snow. It’s sad to me that I can’t build in the snow without constant upkeep.
