Custom Dimensions for Addons

Addons need support for custom dimensions. Now that all required things for a dimension is complete I feel like now is the time to finally add them in! This would open up so many possibilities for addon developers. 

The way I want it done is that you could choose between presets, nether generation, overworld generation and end generation. But if someone is way more advanced at making addons, they could create their own generation! Also you should be able to choose the dimension in spawn rules, make biomes for it, features such as ores and structures, etc.

    they should also add custom structures and biomes. i mean, it would be perfect. there would be space addons, time travel addons heck WHO KNOWS!

    What do you mean? Custom structures are already easy to implement. And custom biomes were a thing in the past, but they broke with Caves & Cliffs. There is surely a bug report about that.

    100%! I would really like to see an official Aether port come to bedrock, rather than having to resort to these cheap knock offs that are popping up everywhere.

    I agree with the OP, this feature would bring many possibilities for developers.

    It could also give the opportunity for ports of mods like The Aether, The Twilight Forest, The Betweenlands, hell, even Galacticraft to exist on Bedrock Edition.

    Please do it, Microsoft/Mojang.

    I'm an addon creator, and a lot of ideas I have would require custom dimensions. Please add this Mojang, it would be awesome to have this.

    You're right! I have wished that Mojang add custom dimension in bedrock edition addon too! I wish Mojang add it.

    FINALLY! We got custom script-based dimensions (even if they're super limited for now)! 
    You can register a dimension with a JS code, but there's currently an "empty preset" only, so no biomes, no mobs, no weather, nor terrain generation for now, but it's almost certain that they'll make these dimensions better overtime

    Plus, the fact that they're dynamically registered in script (instead of a JSON file) means that a 20w14∞ add-on with all of the possible dimensions is absolutely possible to make!
