Custom Dimensions for Addons

Addons need support for custom dimensions. Now that all required things for a dimension is complete I feel like now is the time to finally add them in! This would open up so many possibilities for addon developers. 

The way I want it done is that you could choose between presets, nether generation, overworld generation and end generation. But if someone is way more advanced at making addons, they could create their own generation! Also you should be able to choose the dimension in spawn rules, make biomes for it, features such as ores and structures, etc.

    We should also be able to add our own background music to custom dimensions like the nether and over world.

     

    I already have 3 ideas for a few dimensions but I can't create it without the ability to make custom dimensions.

    I beg mojang add this! This would really boost the modding capabilities for bedrock through the roof, it would also be sick if you could choose what dimension a player starts in, and add a command that allows you to excecute commands in other dimensions just like Java!

    This is unquestionably something we need! Given that the marketplace is a crucial part of Minecraft Bedrock, this would definitely add a whole new level of depth to the content that creators produce. The reason the votes are so low for this is because:

    1. This is bedrock, and the word doesn't get out as well for this platform.

    2. Many of the votes out there for the affirmation of this are creators.

    3. People don't realize how GAME CHANGING this would be.

    Let's get the word out there, people!

    If this gets added, it could be posible to make an April Fools 2020 addon with some of the most important dimensions (obviousley not all of the infinite dimensions)

    This would be very great to a variety of add-ons and may even encourage some java edition mods to port to bedrock, I am all aboard for this game-changing vote.

    Maybe they should add like a "/dimension" teleport command for custom portal blocks as well.

    this idea is really really great actually. bc i wanted to make an aether dimension addon but the bg is endstone or netherrack so then they know that they are going to the end or the nether but this is cool actually

    I was thinking of making the aurorian addon but for that I would need something to create the dimension like in the pc mod. thanks for posting this.

    This would add parity with actual Java Datapacks where we are able to add custom dimensions.

    seria guay por eso, elegir lo que poner en tu dimensión, como animales, aldeanos, zombis etc.

    Y yo creo que no dañaria el juego de minecraft, no digo que sea facil hacerlo, lo contrario, es super dificil pero sabiendo que es uno de los juegos más vendidos y lo controla creo que microsoft seria posible. Solo digo que seria algo que lo mejoraria, y como dije al principio podriamos elegir que poner y que no poner en una mesa con los ajustes de la dimensión

    Great idea! It would be amazing if we could also try out community-created games, mobs, materials, and NPCs in these custom dimensions. And I think it's important that these items remain exclusive to their respective dimensions and can't be transferred to the normal Minecraft world. This would make it even more exciting and challenging to explore the custom dimensions.

    they already have custom biomes in experimental settings so why not add custom biomes?
