I agree, but I don't think they will anyway.

I think that NORMAL mobs shouldn't spawn in the deep dark.

Only deep dark mobs should spawn in the deep dark. Otherwise their walking will distract the warden, making it too easy to fight.

It could be cool to have other new mobs in the deep dark, I have a concept of a mob like the barnacle from half life to be on the ceilings in there, but it really depends on how big it is, and what mojang thinks would fit, but I think mojang will make the right call

This makes sense because if normal cave mobs spawned in the deep dark, it would be harder to avoid the warden. Mojang has clearly stated that they want us to avoid it rather than fight it.

I cant vote for this, as plushyapper0483 has said the deep dark is SUPPOSED to be hard.

I agree with this but the only normal mob that should spawn in here is the bat

I like this, this makes a more isolated and more scary with the dimming lights and sounds of skulk!

I can see the reason in this, but I cant upvote. I love a good challenge!

I agree, but then there should be something more down there than the Warden...

Yeah, NORMAL mobs shouldn't spawn in the deep dark. Perhaps skulk infected mobs or just harder version of all the normal hostile mobs that wouldn't interfere with the warden. Or maybe when the warden gets near any mobs it changes them into skulk mobs that would fight for it. Either way I could go on for ages about my thoughts on the caves and cliffs update so ill just leave it at this. :)

I agree, having regular zombies and skeletons would detract from the mood of the biome. Maybe there could be another skulk-based hostile mob around the strength of a zombie that would spawn instead.

This is very true. Wireless redstone isnt worth that much danger

I agree, that would also take away the fear and emotion of running away from something as strong and scary as the warden

Maybe the mobs that spawn in the deep dark can be infested with sculk

I would imagine the Mojang team would have to code the deep dark in a way that it would only occur in the y level the deep dark roof is in, or we will have empty caves(not good for a mob farm) Also, a new mob like the key golem from Dungeons or a special illager of the caves would be cool in the deep dark

Warden should try to kill all normal mobs except creepers, because creepers will be able to creep past him. So there is no reason for normal mobs to spawn neer him.

I agree. I think only bats, endermen and spiders should spawn down there.

In my opinion I feel like Enderman and The Warden should spawn in the Deep Dark.

Once players deal with getting killed because a run of the mill zombie screwed up your sneaking im sure millions of people will be pestering mojang to reconsider this. Or else a new, unforseen strat will emerge.

You will probably just be expected to have snowballs with you to distract the warden after using your sword on a mob and hes coming towards you.

Cave spiders should be common in deep dark

Charged creepers should spawn naturally in deep dark

I saw developers says they are adding warden for making minecraft scary.

imagine if charged creeper spawns naturally in deep dark. People will be very afraid to go there

Spawnrate should be %10 or %1

I think they should add dark more creepy variants to these other mobs below y0

This would also give it a more eerie feel, like Warden had already killed everything else and is now looking for you.

It is now confirmed that the Warden is the only hostile mob that will spawn in the Deep Dark.

Solution: make it so all game modes aside hard or hardcore can't spawn other mobs there, but setting it to hard or hardcore spawns a few mobs down there.
