Bundles are capable of putting up to 64 different items in 1 inventory slot, one by one, but pours them all at once. And then you are left with those bits of items and the bundle in your inventory. That's a solution for carrying your precious flowers'n'plants found in adventure, but not for building something variegated.
So, the feature I suggest is the ability to substitute hotbar slot as bundle:
-
Straight substitution. Place bundle in the hotbar, close inventory and poof! The bundle is no more here, but instead its 1'st item by order (if there's any), also the background is different color, or has a frame on it, so you know it's in bundle. When you choose that slot you have special hotkey to scroll through the bundle's item list to pick one in that hotbar slot (like you have hotkey to X+1-9 for saving hotbars)
-
Slot invasion. The bundle stays in the inventory grid, but you choose which hotbar slots are sharing items from the bundle by using special hotkey:
1. 1 bundle can invade 1 hotbar slot
2. 1 bundle for several slots
3. All bundles act as a shared inventory
a. The item placed in hotbar is defined at the instance of invading
b. You are able to scroll items from the available list (depends on options above)
It's like carrying bundles on belt and quickly throwing whatever's on top. Logic!
And to top it off, if bundles could pe placed outside of 3x9 inventory grid, like armor can be placed in armor slots (but only armor there), you could finally create that beautiful monument nonstop.
