More Minerals for Cave Update

I want more minerals in the game, because I think that it would be fun to discover new things to mine and have a use for them. Since this is the Cave Update there should be more ores, it would also be educational, because you can introduce mineral identification into education edition: a mineral’s streak, luster, cleavage/fracture, hardness, and specific gravity. Minerals would spawn in different places, not only by depth, such as in water or in lava, each mineral would spawn based on conditions (like in the real world.). Uses for minerals could be for building and crafting. I personally want to see minerals being used to paint blocks, a minerals that is used for painting in the real world; could be used to combine with a dye to make paint. I’ll suggest some minerals in the comments.

  I like the new copper and amethyst crystal, but I like to see more minerals.

  I truly like this idea, I am a huge modded minecraft fan, and play with a 1.12 mod called Gems++. I think some ores should be used for new armors, or fantasy items like "boots of lava walking" or maybe just more enchants.

  This idea is very good, agree, because the cave and cliff update only update the copper mine, nothing else.
