NOTICE

Are you sure you want to report this?

Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I don't think there is a way at making realistic transitions. They either need to make animation (like with prismarine) states saved in the world, so it would not change to the first stage after reentering the world (is it possible?) or make way more textures for a transition. I think how it is now is fine, they just need to make a process longer if they really want us to feel the aging of the world. I would not be against a world setting for copper oxidation, maybe from several days to a real life month.

also the texture change should be a second layer and not block states.

it should also be independent from block orientation, but depending on gravity when rust streaks occurr.

single player: 60 hours for full corrosion.

multiplayer: 600 hours for full corrosion.

multiplayer time is increased because a server is always running.
