Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Corn and Rice

I think corn and rice should be added

    Corn Kernels could either come in a pile like current seeds or be singular. If they are singular, they should be put in a furnace to pop into a singular popcorn, which would give very little food points. Corn Kernels also have a chance to not pop, meaning you may get less popcorn than the kernals you put in

    Corn stalks should grow to 2-3 blocks tall. There could also be different types of corn. You could eat the corn on a cob which may leave you with a husk, which could be fed to pigs or used as slop

    i defently think corn should be added corn has so many uses in modern life. it could be used to make gas for future builds. you can make tortilla's out of them add a little beef and you have a taco. i think everyone wants to eat tacos in minecraft. the fields will look amazing and you can just eat corn raw or cooked

    Could come in several colors - yellow, blue, red, white - and be bred together into a rainbow corn which would be more nutritious. Could make corn soup out of it, and farmers could trade different amounts for different colors of corn and corn soup. Could be rarer than wheat but grow to three blocks making it yield more. Could attract a new mob, crows, and could attract hostile mobs unless guarded by a scarecrow (Wheat, corn, pumpkin, leather tunic, and an armor stand?)

    Minecraft needs corn immediatly, we cant let forntite have corn and frogs before minefcraft does, this is just not okay. Corn is amazing and should be respected enough to be in Minecraft and if it doesn't I will cry.

    Corn would be a great add because it can be used in many different ways!
    -The stalks could grow 2-3 blocks tall and when broken would give 1-2 corn cobs and 1-2 corn kernels.
    -You could also build the stalks into a corn maze for Halloween lovers!
    -You would use the kernels to plant new stalks, make popcorn in a furnace, or use it in a recipe for a new soup.
    -The corn cobs would also have to be cooked to be eaten.
    -You could also use corn to feed pigs, llamas, and horses.

    From another comment, I love the idea of corn attracting a new mob of crows and the need for making a scarecrow!

    I think adding growth stages to corn (similar to melons and pumpkins) for the different heights and colors of it would really add a nice dimension to aesthetic field builds and would be great for corn maze construction for Halloween decoration or mini games.

    OK! My Ideas for Corn

    Corn Plant

    ... Grows 3 -5 blocks high (corn grows taller than people)

    ... works like Glow Berries, where the "vine/plant" can be picked without destroying the plant.

    ... harvested for a Corn on the Cob

    Corn Cob

    ... crafted in the grid to make corn kernels

    ... fed to pigs

    ... eaten by player

     

    Corn Kernels can be ...

    ... planted for new corn plants

    ... smelted for Popcorn

    --- ground for corn meal

     

    Cornmeal and Wheat make Corn Bread

    I could probably go on and on and on, but hey this isn't a entire update just a new crop, and the Sniffer finds this seed.

    Please add a water bar like health bar and a filter so you can’t drink from the ocean. If you run out, can you loose health? Lastly, please let us place bowls and have rice. Thank you!
