Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Copper Electric Conductivity

Whenever a lightning rod or copper block is struck by lightning, all copper blocks adjacent to it become electrically charged for a short moment, transmitting the damage caused by the lightning to any mobs standing on them and/or lightning certain blocks above them on fire (wool, wood, etc., although this would perhaps be a difficult aspect to implement considering copper's use in building).

Could be merged with suggestions regarding redstone being activated by these lightning strikes (with it being expanded to activation by connected copper blocks as well). This would be a cool way to perhaps prank your friends, create large mob-killing areas with the Channeling enchantment, or introduce some extra danger to thunderstorms.

    i like it but i think copper conductivity could be even better if you let redstone electrically charge the copper as well which would be useful for mob spawners (assuming it does damage)

    I had the same idea, but I think the range should go much further than just the adjacent blocks. It should be able to charge a large area of copper blocks. A mob touching a charged copper block could have the same affect as being hit by lightning, like charging a creeper for example.
