Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Automatic bundle collection

Items that are picked up by the player should automatically be put in the bundle if you are holding a bundle in your off hand or main hand.

    I came to this forum to suggest this feature specifically if the bundle is in your off hand. Would be good for collecting flowers for example.

    As an expansion onto this: It would be extremely useful if this principle also applied to storage options, say, chests, hoppers, so on, if you dispense an item into them (I think this should be a dispenser operation, hoppers traditionally only move items without changing them). If the storage device cannot hold any more items and the bundle isn't full, insert the new item into the bundle, or the next bundle if the current one is full, and so on. This would allow for automatic loading of bundles with redstone.

     

    I think unloading of a bundle may not be completely necessary, but if it is added, it could be done with a dispenser while there's a bundle contained in it. The bundle may drop its contents if dispensed with a dispenser, and drops itself if used with a dropper, i'm not sure on that though.

    I was just playing with the bundle in the snapshot and this occurred to me as well. It feels perfectly "minecraft" and makes sense to me that the bundle would do this. It would be useful in scenarios where your inventory is suddenly full, or if you're out on an adventure and are expecting to pick up a lot of "garbage items".

    The bundle felt amazing in the snapshot 20w48a, althought I kept stopping all the time to put items in a bundle.

    So having one to fill automatically of it's in off hand should make it better.
