Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I do think this feature is needed because if you are attacking a hostile mob, like a witch, you have to go up to her/him and kill it.

Well said! I've been wanting this as a feature ever since Fire Charges came to Console. Hope the votes escalate on this one.

You're able to do this in skywars, and ghasts have had an advantage for like 5 years.  so why not make it so you can throw them? i like it.

I think it would be more balanced if it was like a blaze fireball, where it only sets the mob on fire and appears smaller when thrown.

Personally, I'd like them not to explode but just light things on fire like when you place them. Makes it less unbalanced than your idea, especially with farms for each material needed to make one.

I would have said that the firecharge should have no gravity. The firecharges of the ghast have no gravity either. And it should also be stackable. However, it would make sense to add a delay. Similar to the ender pearl.

I fully agree with you, fire charges are really cool and I would love to wield them in battle, it would also be beneficial when dealing with mass mobs or players, as Minecraft does not currently have an explosive projectile, it would also be the center of many dope plays

To sum up the general consensus of most in this comment thread, and to add a few of my own:

Fire charges should stack to 16x instead of 64x. They should act like Blaze fireballs rather than Ghasts'; that is, they do not explode, and instead do 3-4 damage (1-2 less than a Blaze), lighting the block or entity it makes contact with on fire for the same duration. They should not have gravity, as regular fire charges shot from dispensers and Blazes act.

This definitely should be added along with the coal in the crafting repice going away or being replaced with a ghast tear instead

I do think a fire charge should be craftable into a grenade. IMO , a fire charge, several gunpowder, and an ender pearl or something should make a non-stackable item that throws further than a splash potion and does immense damage like tnt.

This idea takes on even more strength now that wind charges exist. Would it be correct for both to have a similar use for combat. Is it considered magic?

Or they can work like wind charges and blaze fire balls. The recipie does make 3, the exact amount that a blaze shootz
