Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

This can already be done with the hoppers(can't move upwards though) themselves but I agree it is a little weird. Pipes would make them look cleaner and would be more intuitive for new players.

I think they should basically work the same way as the hopper, transfering items from one side to the other and being a storage unit by itself, but can't have items thrown/dropped in them. You would craft them just like the hopper but without the last ingot at the bottom.

I love this idea. I hate in bedrock edition i cant get items to move upwards in a small space.

They should be made of copper, the new ore for the Caves and Cliffs update.

This could go great with the new copper ore

If it was made to be essentially like a hopper, but with only one input and output (unless L junctions or T junctions are made). This would be a great use for the new ore and it could help with lag from entities or hopper checks but would still allow players to move items. It could connect between hoppers to droppers, dispensers, or to other hoppers and would probably make building farms more compact and more intuitive to look at.

yeah these could be used with hoppers the hoppers would collect the item and the pipe would transfer it

I agree, it will optimize the hopper issue quite a lot, and water despawning issues. They will need hoppers at the end. They could pass a redstone signal to a comparator when they have things passing through. Visually they could have some variations , wooden, copper, stone. They could also be filled with water or transport liquids, including lava with obsidian pipes ... time for a shower.

Yes please! Use copper ingots to make copper pipes, attach to bottom of hopper, from there it can continue down or sideways, and can eventually be changed to an upward direction if desired! Transferring items up has always been an awkward issue with hoppers, and creating a line of hoppers to transfer items sideways or down is a huge waste of iron IMHO, but copper is ridiculously common and has not many uses. Copper pipes for the win!!!

I think it would be good to have two pieces, a pipe with one input and output which connect end to end only (like repeaters), and a junction which connects pipes and could have up to 7 inputs and one output. This way you could have parallels pipes without the priority connecting issue that rails have.

But for items could have a "aspiration chest" and pull items inside

I think they should be made of iron, so they match hoppers.
