Invincibility while changing resource packs

I recently died while changing texture packs (despite using invisibility, had my netherite tools and armour despawn in front of my face but that's another story), and I've had other times where I get attacked while changing resources packs and I'm unable to anything about it. The best way I can think of getting around this would be temporary invincibility while resources are changing (and also knockback resistance so you don't get knocked into lava or something else like that).
