Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Durable Light-source Blocks

Hi Minecraft team! I have been making a lot of buildings lately in Minecraft for Xbox 360, and what I am hoping to see in Minecraft eventually are blocks that give off a lot of light and that don't break easily, but that aren't jack-o-lanterns or torches. I'm looking for something bright (brighter than torches) that's also aesthetically versatile. :) Also, I would want it to be easy-to-moderate difficulty in obtaining it, or obtaining the materials to craft it. When I make structures that are meant to look "classier" I prefer glowstone, or sea lanterns, but I'm bummed out when I accidentally hit it in survival mode and it shatters. I also feel that the glowstone is often too yellow for the structures I make; it looks out of place. It's beautiful in other settings though, of course. :) Thank you for reading my feedback!     Perhaps more types of lamps. Light source + material to give new lamps
