Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Printing Press

If there were a printing press, you could copy a written book and get an exact copy of the one you have already written.  Of course, this should have a cost, like ink, experience points, and at least a five minute wait.

    Unfortunately I don't think they'll go for it (I believe HelenAngel once told me that this kind of thing is too "modern," however that logic pans out), but if they were to change their mind, I think they should slap down the experience cost part.

    Anyway, if you just want to copy books and not mass-produce them, you can do so by crafting together a written book and a book and quill item.

    You can already copy written books in the crafting table though.

    I think using a Printing Press should be easier and/or cheaper to create books than using a crafting table

    I was thinking that the Printing Press could be used to copy Enchantment books, but that may be too OP. If they did, it may weaken the enchantments over time

    A printing press should not be considered too modern considering that we have jukeboxes, and dispensers, and that the printing press is first mentioned in historical records in 1439 while for comparison the phonograph was invented in 1877. Of course if it is still somehow "too modern" then there is still movable type printing from 1040 and woodblock printing from before 220 AD. A way to rapidly copy individual pages as well as text for signs would be nice and should be added to the game.
