Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Add the looting enchantment to axes.

It makes sense, but I'm personally against this. All 5 main weapons have features that distinguish them from the others:

    1. Swords (as they are now): Looting, sweeping attack

    2. Axes: Shield-disabling, utility as a tool

    3. Tridents: Short-range + long-range combo, Riptide, Channeling

    4. Bows: Infinity, extreme damage per hit

    5. Crossbows: Piercing, Multishot, firework-firing

If axes gain Looting, then sword use becomes less incentivized. Furthermore, axes already have the major advantage that they can be used as a tool.

Sharpness and smite are unique to swords and axes, so it doesn't make sense that looting isn't also compatible. Looting is a melee weapon enchant so it should be compatible an anvil. Similar to how you don't see sharpness or smite in the enchantment table with an axe. Also it doesn't make the sword obsolete since sweeping edge is the go to for using looting when farming mobs where it is most useful and the sword has highest dps which is why it's my go to in combat.

When you play in the world for a long time, it's not very convenient when you have a lot of tools before you could enchant an axe for prey, but now you can't why? So you can use an axe as a weapon very conveniently and mobs die from the first blow.
