I think there must be an option in the settings like recource packs.
Just accepting shader packs in the recource pack option would be good enough. In that way you dont force people to use shaders in minecraft. And you dont have to use optifine.

3rd party shader support for render dragon – Minecraft Feedback

I think this is a wonderful Idea!

For those worrying about lag-- on PC systems, shaders are an option in the menu. I believe if on consoles like the Nintendo Switch this was utilized, it would make the game a far more enjoyable experience for the players. Giving players the option to enhance their Minecraft experience by making the graphics absolutely gorgeous would be a win-win situation for both the user and the teams in charge of making these sorts of changes. (Players enjoy the games more, Minecraft gets more sales on Bedrock-holding systems) My opinion would be to add shaders into the Marketplace, as something that you can buy/freely download, as you would a skin pack or a texture pack. Then with this, users would not be able to complain that the Shaders option causes lag, because it is just that; an option. Just as some people on PC choose not to use shaders, people on Bedrock-holding systems have the choice to not download or use them as well.

I think that it is unfair that the only way to get shaders on Nintendo Switch or other systems would be to hack. Give us the option!

the "super secret settings" in earlier versions were basicly in-game shaders so they should bring something like that back.

They could also add shaders into the Minecraft marketplace on Xbox; where you can purchase certain shaders the same way you can purchase texture packs, and worlds etc.

I bought the game because it looked fun after watching the video played by YouTubers.
What's this? The graphics are so different.
It turns out that the graphic can only be implemented by applying an external shader that is not officially supported.

I would like you to officially support the shader.
I want to enjoy the game with a graphic that is even a little similar to the trailer.

I absolutely agree. One of the biggest reasons I wanted Minecraft before I actually got it was seeing it with Shaders. It breathes incredible life into a game. Even something as simple as a little different lighting during the evening is a wonderful touch. I don't see why we can't have them on bedrock seeing as that community contributors are allowed to make texture packs and such. Why would allowing them to also produce shaders be such a big deal? Not all shaders require RTX cards, but the current ray tracing effect does. But especially in these times, most people can't get their hands on an RTX...

Can you let people access the render dragon engine? So people can create 3rd party shaders that we can use.

Well this won't really happen because of the whole Nvidia partnership. However this would be a whole mess because shaders wouldn't work on Bedrock, and instead new ones would need to be made. Shaders also rely heavily on options, and custom shader options honestly don't sound like something Mojang will ever add.
And on older consoles and the Nintendo Switch running shaders can be something you can immediately forget as the Switch uses a 7 year old 15W piece of silicon that is then further underclocked for better battery performance.

On Java though it would be pretty stupid too - Sodium is pretty much necessary to make shaders something you keep on all the time. (If you don't know what sodium is, it's a light mod that literally multiplies your fps by 5 or more times, since it introduces lots of optimisation). And because on Java it's a tiny bit more technical to install resource packs, it isn't too far of a stretch that someone can install Sodium and Iris if they can do the former (because it is really simple).

I do agree it would be a nice option, however I feel like it wouldn't really work.
I think that instead, there should be 1 official non RTX shader made by Mojang that is similar to the Complementary Shaders where there are hundreds of options allowing everyone to essentially have their own custom shaders. This way shaders aren't overpriced and stolen on the marketplace and are much friendlier towards the community, and Mojang can further optimize them with each update.

Yes but unlikely to happen. Not requiring optifine is a realistic goal. I personally use iris shaders paired with sodium as I have a lower end laptop so use those if you cant run optifine
