Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Thatch

my idea would be the thatch block, looking exactly like hay bales but with no wrap, so you could make straw roof's in the game

Craft recipe - 9 sticks. Can be crafted into 9 sticks as reverse, so the thatch block would be the "bulk sticks" block. Importantly, thatch blocks can be cut into steps, or 4 thatch step blocks could be crafted by 6 sticks in the step pattern we already use with wood.

Thatch should share wool's love for burning.
