New Enchantment For Elytra -- Hovering

The way that this enchantment would function would be similar to the hack "Elytra Fly" in popular hacked clients.

Then enchantment "Hovering" would be a rare enchantment to come by when using an enchant table.

When the enchantment is applied to your Elytra it would allow you to hover in mid air for a certain amount of time, which depends on the enchantment level. 5 seconds of hovering for Hovering I, 7.5 seconds of hovering for Hovering II (these numbers may have to be changed, or hovering could have one level but 10 seconds of hovering. Whichever fits best.) There will be a 60 second cooldown before you can hover again.

The way the enchantment would be activated is: the player takes off in their Elytra as normal, but if they hold shift (or their designated crouch button) hovering will become active which would allow the player to look around without the player's position actually moving. Letting go of the crouch button will end the hovering phase and start the cooldown before you can hover again. This would be extremely useful for looking for Villages in the singleplayer or Bases / Towns in multiplayer.

Feedback to this idea would be greatly appreciated as I put a lot of thought into this new enchantment and it would have lots of practical uses in both singleplayer and multiplayer.

    This sounds great, but are you sure this is in the right category?

    if you want to keep it in the combat update v2 snapshot 6 then you could add some mechanic(s) it could use for pvp. This sounds like a great idea though :) like maybe it could recharge when you move down a certain angle for a certain period of time. It would need some recharge mechanic. This is a great idea! Keep up the good work! :)

    I totally agree! However, I would change that, when you stop using the enchantment before times up, the cool down should be shorter.
