Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Yeah this is pretty important, and natural bamboo needs this too. It gets more and more laggy the taller they grow, and I'm not gonna spend 3 hours cutting them short again x)

I think that this would be great, mirroring more of the behavior that glow berry cave vines follow, which sounds like what the kelp follows.

    This further entails:
+ being able to stop their growth by using shears on the end pieces instead of needing to use string below them-- a pre-caves and cliffs technique.
+ being able to manually place vines to the bottom to override and have full control over how long you want them to be, just like cave vines, when building.

Agreed! Vines are a fairly old vegetation, which never got updated with the modern mechanics behind recent plants such as Kelp, Bamboo, Cave Vines etc.

Bringing them to "modern" parity would allow both decorative use and world generation to look even better!
