AFK Fishing farms back

I want old afk fish farms back becuz its just too irritating to get mending and other enchantments to your tools and armors without those old afk fish farms

    AFK fishing farms weren't a intended feature and they ruin the fishing system. Its unlikely mojang would intentionally add them back

    Add a command to toggle its use. Like /gamerule doafkfishing [True or False] but default False.

    If this truly is the official Minecraft forum, and they're willing to listen to sound ideas. I have a solution on how to fix the AFK fish farms.

    In it's current state fishing is becoming way to complicated by Mojang. much like boats were becoming a joke the more the company messed with them. Until finally they had to completely rewrite them because they were so buggy.

    Everyone that plays the game knows that fishing in this game is worse than watching grass grow. AFK fish farms are a sanity saver. I do however agree that they are over powered, and so here is a very simple solution that would cut down on the company continuing to chase a white rabbit down a hole to fix the problem.

    First off, revert the changes last made in 1.16.5 to fishing. they're ridiculous, and the start of chasing the rabbit. Red stoners are already starting to make contraptions that bypass the restrictions.

    Second, Simply make food saturation tied to fishing. Every time an item is caught by a player it drops their food saturation down a tick. once the player hits 0 food they will start to starve. this makes it so players can still AFK fish farm, but they have to attend to the farm to keep it going, or have their character die. plane and simple it prevents 24 hour AFK fishing sessions

    calculate up how many casts a non enchanted fishing pole has, and break a full bar of saturation up to that number of casts. that way you can get a fare amount of items before you run out of food.

    Yes. Definately, I like old afk fish farms, and now to get Mending is just so hard. Especially when you don't have a open water source nearby. The developers just like to play with us. And yes again, mojang should add afk fish farm loot table back.
