Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Charred Wood Blocks

If a block has been on fire, but was extinguished before being destroyed it should have a charred look. When a charred block is broken it could drop charcoal; unless you use silk touch to pick up the charred block itself. Lightning strikes on trees could give them this charred appearance.

    That would make building abandoned/decaying house look even cooler.

    Maybe wooden type blocks that were on fire could just have a chance of becoming charred naturally; it would lend a lot more atmosphere to burnt out buildings and forest fires if there were actually charred remains leftover. It would also be an elegant way to add a new wood type.

    I was just thinking the same thing!!! 
    Maybe with levels of charring based on time on fire until completely burned up. leaving an ember.
