I'm seeing this too, I just spent an hour a half getting wood. I cut down exactly 69 jungle trees and only got 58 saplings, when I cut down no more than 10 oak trees it dropped a stack and 8 saplings...

Agreed. I just settled in a jungle, and after clearing away a bunch of trees, I can barely replant what I had. The main appeal to me of settling in a jungle is the dense environment. It's not like fortune helps either. At Fortune III, jungle saplings only drop 4.18% of the time, which is about 1% lower than all other saplings drop normally.

The amount of leaves shouldn't matter, especially considering there's a taiga tree variant that's like 80% leaves. I can't see it being a griefing problem when something like lava casting is far more time efficient, and if it were a griefing issue, people would already be using spruce wood.

I guess I don't see how jungle wood is superior enough to spruce, where it would warrant a nerf that large.

It really isn't fair how hard it is to even break even growing Jungle trees. I don't want to destroy a biome just to have a pretty kind of wood.

I always thought it was weird for the bushes using different types of leaves, but I have no problem with oak trees being in the jungle. But obviously the main issue here and the one that bothers me is how extremely rare jungle saplings are, if you chop down trees you literally can't even plant them again, and there will be forever one less tree in your world.

Please increase jungle sapling rate so that the trees are renewable

I feel like the drop rate for jungle saplings needs to double. I cut down one jungle tree and I barely get enough to replant it, much less have enough to be able to plant more. The fact that these trees have more leaves than oak trees and somehow still drop less saplings overall feels weird to me.
