Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Palm trees

I think it would be great if there were Palm trees in Minecraft for example if you were building a tropical island Palm Trees would be essential.

    I made my own plan tree out of oak logs and oak leaves. It’s like pretty good, but I wish they were really in the game.

    I totally agree. An entire tropical beach biome would be awesome too with the wild update coming next year. Along with mangrove trees, palm trees should also be added.

    They could use coconuts instead of saplings, which could be effected by gravity and be cut open to eat as well as placed down to be grown or used as decoration. But all that isn't necessary, it would make the beach biome look so much better anyhow.

    Palm trees have long flat leaves, I think their leaf blocks should be half slabs! It would add a green half slab which the game still needs too.

    Yeah theyd have to have like the leaevs connect to the base wood. Would the wood be skinnier then most wood? I dunno. But kinda like how fences connect to blocks near by, the leaves would connect to the trunk when next to it. So it would be top of trunk in middle block, and on 4 blocks surrounding, it would be leaves. And maybe the top trunk that is connected to the leaves would look different too. And like doors, the leaves would extend more then one block space. And maybe you could use the leaves for something too. Id looooove palm trees. Palm tree is my favorite tree. Maybe you could make a block from palm tree leaves and make a structure! Maybe you could stack palm tree leaves into one soace when you place them? Less essential. I really want palm trees.

    Yes I agree with this opinion. I made a similar post about the Minecon vote and how Palm Trees could come back in a drop like the Copper Golems.
