I feel like the end is a bit... bland. There needs to be some form of biome variation to give a reason other than elytra and shulker boxes. An idea I had for it is the corrupted islands. The corrupted islands would be similar to the normal islands but with a structure in the middle of it called the ender temple (creative, I know.) In the temple would be a new form of chest that cant be opened until three mini boss mobs (similar to elder gaurdians) are killed. I think that the mobs could be like iron golems or endermen and be called ancients. In and around the temple could be corrupted endermen. The temple would be made of corrupted bricks and the rest of the biome would be made out of corrupted stone and corrupted fruit (all blocks would resemble their main end variants.) If the chests are broken before the ancients are killed, they will not drop anything.
