Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Fake Leather

You can get leather quite fast from killing cows and other mobs, but let's be honest, they are just too cute :( 

Compared to that, getting leather through fishing or any other friendly way is just too time consuming.

 

Nowadays, there are many ways to make fake leather out of a variety of materials, like cacti or pineapple.

It would be cool if there'd be recipes to make leather out of cactus or mushroom (those items don't have many recipes anyways!) and paper. Or anything else, really. Bamboo? Cocoa beans? ...

    100%. Leather is quite an easy resource to get if you have cows, so why not add a synthetic option?

    Piñatex type of Leather made from Pineapple leaves. This item could serve as an alternate way to make leather. It could serve as both a resource for food and/or armor.

    My boys and I hate having to kill cows, and you need to kill a lot of them to make all the bookshelves, and then the books, once you start enchanting.

    I would love to see a "vegetarian" alternative!
