Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Stripped cactus

Stripped cactus would be gotten by using an axe on a cactus. The stripped cactus could be crafted into planks, which wouldn’t have as much blast resistance as normal wood and could be crafted into all the wood variants like doors, slabs, boats, etc. the cactus wood could also replace jungle wood in desert villages

    No, no wood out of cactus, cacti are very flimsy. But stripped cactus is a good idea. Maybe you could craft stripped cactus into fruit and eat it because it doesn't have its thorns.

    I think a green wood variant from cactus would be a really interesting addition! maybe when you strip a cactus you could get aloe, which can be used in potions. Cause aloe vera is usually used to treat sunburn, but fire resistance and regeneration are already potions, maybe it could be used to make a potion that prevents negative status effects?

    Since Cacti aren't the best for building with, they should be able to break by just standing on them, they should slowly deteriorate with time of being stood on. This would correspond to reality. Maybe they also could have some Redstone functionality, like breaking with a Redstone signal.

    I agree that having it have some function in terms of breaking would make sense, but as a decorative block, I think having it decay over time wouldn't be very fun for players to deal with. Why bother getting a block if it's so easy to accidentally destroy? I do think making it break with a redstone pulse would be a really good idea though. I'd say the blocks should also be much quicker to mine than all other wood variants

    Well "Stripped cactus" should stop items like for instance, sharpness 5 unbreaking 3 smite 2 fire aspect 2 netherite sword from being destroyed by some little half heart thorns. Cactus should NOT DEMOLISH a netherite ingot forged from GOLD and ANCEINT DEBRE PLUE CACTUS DOESENT DESTROY THE AXR THAT TOUCHES IT WHEN YOU MINE IT!!! >:(

    They could also be used as food for camels, while camels could eat cacti it would cause them a little damage. and no wood out of cacti
