(Caves and Cliffs) The Oreling

The oreling would be a small elfish gem like creature that spawns from infested ores, similar to silverfish.They would reflect upon the ore they spawn from. For example: a green oreling from emeralds or a blue for diamond.Dispite their passive nature, if you get to close, they will steal their specific ore type from your inventory and then speadily run from you as fast as an ocelot or a fox. If you try to kill them they drop... Nothing! The way to get your valuables back is to give it something that it deems more valuable. (maybe something new found in caves) Overall the oreling would be a fine addition to caves and would add personalty to caves.

  There should be a a
  red (quartz) nether
  Orange (iron)
  Yellow (gold) nether+overworld
  Green (emerald)
  Indigo (obsidian normal/crying) all
  Purple (steals enderpearls) just spawns in ender

  how about we make it steal the thing it came from, and you have to give it a refined version of it's ore?

  Actually, what about we change the behavior? And the look? I had an idea like this before. A little mob, lives in caves, elfish, like yours. A stone head, if you step on it, The mob will grow to player size and start attacking you. If not bothered, as little as a block.

  It would probably be a bit complicated to make it steal a thing from your inventory, but I think it is a good idea.

  Really like the idea, very cool also they should be gray with a little bump on the back that would be the colour of the ore and they should drop 0-2 of the ore.

  Good idea. It is a not aggressive or passive mob, we never had anything like it in Minecraft.
