Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Smooth Lapis Blocks

Lapis blocks, like Quartz blocks, have a grid pattern when you place them together. This means that, while they work nicely for floors and small details, they can't make good walls or roofs. This really is such a shame, since it's an absolutely gorgeous shade of blue, so I suggest that there's smooth lapis, working the same way as smooth quartz does, which is exactly the same shade but without the edges being darker, so it creates a nice smooth pattern. I would love to us lapis in roofs specifically, and I think smooth lapis would be a logical thing for Mojang to add.

    Lapis Blocks used to be smooth! They made for stunning azure pillars and ceilings. Sadly they were changed to the tiled appearance we know today.

    Reintroducing Smooth Lapis as a furnace recipe would bring so much more building potential! Lapis Bricks and Pillars would also be very welcome.

    I would post examples of my builds featuring this wonderful block but sadly this site has decided that we are no longer allowed to express ideas through the use of images.

    Lapis bricks would also be pretty cool, this very blue kind of building blocks would be great
