The smithing table would have a secondary feature so that you could place an item in the left hand slot of the smithing table and a book in the right hand slot and at the cost of xp with greater level enchantments and greater quantity of enchantments costing more, you could transfer said enchantments onto a book. This could solve the issue of you being late to end game while having many levels and still having to grind out the enchantments that you want through regular enchanting just for a single, or a single set of enchantments that you already have on, let's say a piece of iron or gold gear that you will never wear. With this change you could easily transfer the enchantments to a book and from there place the enchantments from the book onto your gear of choice via the anvil.
