Keyboard and mouse support for iOS

As iOS has now incooporated mouse and keyboard support I feel it's necessary that iOS gets mouse and keyboard support. I've bought a mouse and keyboard specifically for the game and am heartbroken that it doesn't have support.

    I did the same thing, I bought everything I needed but then tested it and it didn’t work. I hope they can try to do something about this.

    with ios 14, apple is going to allow devs to add keyboard and mouse gameplay

    Same! I also bought a keyboard and mouse in hopes of playing the game using them. I was pretty disappointed when it did not work even after mouse support was added in ipados 13.

    I bought a mouse and keyboard to play Minecraft on my iPad and the keyboard doesn’t work. The settings have a keyboard option under the controls but in reality it doesn’t sport a mouse and keyboard. The mouse will act like your finger and the keyboard is not supported at all. This is very disappointing.

    I got a Ipad with Logitech keyboard and i am sad to see that i cant use it to play Minecraft there is keyboard support in IpadOS14 and there keyboard settings in Minecraft for bedrock edition plz add this Mojang it would make me play your games more also it cant be that hard code has to already be there because windows and mcpe is same version you just need to make it be compatible with Ipad plz add this

    This is now easily possible in iPadOS 14 as it natively supports mouse capture (requirement for Minecraft) and in iPadOS 13.4 the ability was added to recognize not just key presses but also holding keys down. MS, you now have everything you need to implement this. Please do it

    It would be absolutely bizarre for Microsoft to not add proper keyboard and mouse support for iPad at this point. 🤪

    I have a new iPad Pro 12.9" (2020) along with the matching Magic Keyboard it folds into, and a wireless USB Logitech mouse. It's just screaming to be a mobile Minecraft gaming behemoth! OMG! 😁

    Just another minecrafter looking to play with a mouse and keyboard in iPadOS adding their voice to this request. I’d be thrilled to play this way because I’m not big on touch or traditional console controllers.

    This would be a miracle if you guys are able to pull off support for keyboard and mouse on ios. I just got a Bluetooth keyboard today and im hoping in the near future that you guys do find a way to add keyboard and mouse support for IOS.

    I also want this issue to be on top. They’re not even adding gyroscope control support neither giving proper mouse and keyboard support. They want pocket Minecrafter to be suffer..

    Please support the keyboard in IOS. More and more people are playing this way - why have the keyboard options in the settings if you aren’t going to support them?

    Adding my voice to the pile. My son has an iPad 7 and would really love to use a Bluetooth keyboard with it to play Minecraft, but can't for some reason. Anyone know if this is ever going to be added in a future edition?

    I would really love to have this! It’s upsetting that the option is there but I can’t even use my keyboard or mouse I got for my IPad!

    having played the original, (Java) version of Minecraft, I know how much easier it is to play the game. the keyboard allows me and everyone else to have more fun. I recently bought an apple camera adapter, lightning to usb, and it makes the mouse behave like, well one of my grubbies. if the keyboard and mouse could work together like a computer, and not like natural Pocket Edition, that would be great. now i know that Apple isnt the most hasty in their decisions for stuff like this, but anything would help.

    I also agree with this. As a player of both PE and Java, adding this support would be so helpful, especially as I plan on travelling a lot but I wish to continue streaming with the same quality games as I play on Java, so by adding this you’re making Minecraft portable and more accessible. :)

    Yes, please add it for iOS/iPadOS. It literally shows keyboard and mouse controls in the game settings, yet it doesn't work. This means it should be considered a bug rather than a feature request, but the bug-tracker website is stubborn that such a discrepancy "Works as Intended." So, I'm hoping that the feedback-website staff will listen.

    As a 5 year minecraft player I really want this feature here. Many people agree to this update and me too please add this feature and we will carry on and enjoy the game.

    Ive been waiting for this for so long and I think it would bring a lot more traffic to the Mcpe version because you could play it how ever you wanted touch controls, controller, or keyboard and mouse, that’s why i think they should bring Bluetooth keyboard and mouse support to all apple devices such as iPad iPhone
