Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Bigger boats!

Boats need to be bigger and not just small row boats but big sailing boats!

Boats should have steering wheels that have a different difficulty to make and the more difficult to make the bigger boat that you can build. Fishing is also pretty slow without enchantments so they should also add nets for fishing.

     I don’t think they should add sailing boats but bigger boats with 3-4 seats and nets would be cool

    Yes. I think we should have aircraft carriers and battle ships to battle other people and mobs. Structures to park the boats to.

    I think you right.

    What I would lake to see, is more varies of boats seating 3 - 6 players that can be crafted by adding other items to the regular crafting recipe.

    One could be a fishing boat with nets deployable from each side. but I thing it should only be able to actually catch fish if its in ocean biomes.

    Maybe make it upgradable with a GUI, where you could add nets (for fish), Sails for speed, or a chest. The more stuff you add to the boat the less seats you have, depending on how big it is

    I do want more player seats, I think that would be cool. I'm ok with not having super big cross-atlantic ships, that is, unless they update the oceans again. and make them larger? with "realistically sized" landmasses and oceans?

    Yes! Me and my dad play survival every day and we wanted to have boats with more seats and boats that are faster.

    I've thought about having bigger buildable boats for a while.

    I envisioned many 'boat-blocks' assembled to form a floating base upon which to build whatever you want - house boat, battleship, noah's ark - and take whatever you can build on it with you.

    Could be either self-powered (as with current rowing boat) or, preferably, red-stone powered motor so you can go tend to whatever needs doing on your boat while slowly moving along - occasionally adjusting the heading (steering wheel block?)

    The idea of being able to moor up somewhere, explore the area and then head off for another adventure, taking all of your equipment with you, is very appealing!

    It would be interesting to see something like in the small ships mod on curseforge or DaVinci's Vessels where you can build your own boat. Or even have a way to link the current boats together like subnauticas sea truck!

    There ought to be a floating block that can be used to construct large boats and a coal furnace engine to propel it and a steering shaft.

    I feal like if there was a way to place multiple boats down, and if you were able to place a block in a boat, connect them together to build one big boat. then have a helm block to control the whole boat. It would be interesting to see what people would build. I thought It would be cool to build ships and pirate each other. Build cannons to attack other boats. That fishing Idea was another cool idea I never thought of. But there Is a lot Mojang could do with this. Add treasure maps and other loot, cannons and cannon ball blocks. I got the Greek mythology map pack in that, the creator had built a large boat, but was not movable :(   The map pack was worth it though. I hope Mojang makes this Idea a reality.

    Only Pirate boats are buildable can be up to 170 seats and also add cannons ;)

    I agree. It would be cool if you could use it for different purposes as well, like fishing, cargo, or even something like a warship.

    Couldn’t agree more. My friends and I are in a medieval world and would love to have a proper navy. Also, it would be cool to have different types of ships as well, like warships, storage ships, fishing ships, etc… It probably won’t happen because of some excuse like the bigger boats being multi block objects and would be difficult to do but if everyday people could mod bigger boats, surely Mojang, a multimillion dollar company could do the same

    Also an "Anchor" item that would stop boats from moving. Or instead just be able to raise up the sails, sort of like Sea Of Thieves. Maybe you could craft things like "Birch Boat Hull" and every boat would need a "Hull, Deck, Sail" and an extra accessory. Like a fishing net, some combat related stuff, or a tow that could tow boats behind it.

    It would be nice to build large ships that actually work. Something that would need to be worked out is ships are partly underwater, so maybe a certain block could denote the waterline.

    I have been needing this! Ballistae (mounted crossbows basically) should be mountable on the boats. Throwing axes and a customizable sail would be amazing as well!

    Great idea but I don't think sail boats really fit in Minecraft it would be a better idea for a dlc or just make the boat able to hold 4 people

    I agree that bigger boats should be buildable, rather than craftable, alongside using a steering wheel block of some sort to maneuver it. There should be limits to its size. I think this is a better way have adding larger boats than simply putting more seats/chests on the already existing rowboat. A steering wheel block could make it possible to restore sunken ships or pilot end city ships.
