    1.7/1.8 pvp is bad. Actual combat system is better.

    My suggestion is not to say something along the lines "That doesn't make sense", "Not balanced", "Not realistic" ,"Not good for pve", Honestly, who cares about pve? jk I do. BUT a lot of things in minecraft makes no sense such as having a 27 stack of diamond blocks in your inventory, endermens, enchanting and hella a lot of stuff. so please don't say 1.7 combat mAkSe no SenSO. in fact weird flexes are the things that gave games an incredible feeling while playing them without you noticing. If you make everything make sense that means your game SUCKS.

    Also If you are a new player who never tried the old combat system don't suggest anything about combat because you never experienced it in the old versions.

    I hope I didn't say something wrong here.

    Actually, the current combat system is good, at least for pve, the issues I thing comes in pvp because they made it extremely slow and also, that healing boost from saturation makes it frustrating since all players use to engage, run, eat and repeat, 

    I would just fix the attack speed, sword should have 2.0 attack speed instead of 1.6 and the Axe should have 1.4 attack speed instead of 1.0, get rid of the saturation boost and may be, add the auto attack introduced in the combat snapshot 5.

    maybe make armour change the attack speed. make the attack speed for weapons fast and then as you put on better armour it gets slower.
