How would it be visually different from lava, how would players make it, and where could it be found.

    Hi Plutonic thanks for asking

So the way I see it visually is something similar to this

I'm wondering if a crafting plan of 1x Bucket of Lava surrounded by 8x Iron Ingots could work? If thats too expensive we could always switch out for water instead of lava, or switch down to Iron Nuggets - If its too cheap we could up it to 8x Iron Blocks

It could possibly be found naturally spawning around lava pockets instead of iron ore, as the temperature near the lava is hot enough to melt the ore down into liquid iron, or it could just be only craftable by players and NOT naturally forming, to seperate it into more of a design option than a resource you need

Hm, well, molten iron visually looks more similar to lava, the picture there looks more like mercury. It could be just be made to just have a slightly altered color scheme to distinguish, such as more yellow, less orange.

But, the biggest problem is use. Items really need a use in order to justify the time spent creating and implementing them.

    You could just use mercury.

I know what you mean by normal molten iron to be a slow orangey black paste - And I'm not against having a molten iron in the game

But this is more like Liquid Iron like mercury is liquid at room temperature - It is more of a "what if/ fantasy" take on the idea

But I disagree that blocks need a "use" in order to be implemented - Leaf blocks of course were added as part of trees - but their only use is visual - They don't form crafting recipes for bushes, you simply just place them down - This is one of those blocks - It's predominantly visual for building rivers of iron in a crazy evil industrial district

But if users DID want a use added in the future I'm not opposed to it

I'm saying that the devs consider usefulness when thinking about adding new items and blocks. And leaves have a use as being part of forests, since you wouldn't have much of a forest without them. Yes, this is not a functional use, but is certainly more diverse than a river of metal that doesn't make sense.

Considering industrial run off is usually chemicals, I think swamp water would make a lot more sense, and the biome would allow for sick looking plants.

I know what you mean plutonic but I think adding blocks that only have a specific use is not the way to go

Having more visual blocks for decoration is what players want

Why else have all the different colours of concrete or wool? You're not very likely to find a bright green sheep in real life
