    Found this post because I wanted to see if someone had already suggested pine nuts as a food item. What if this biome replaced the current old growth pine taiga? I don't remember hearing about this tree before, so I agree that Minecraft including it would help others learn about it - especially since the quick search I did confirmed that the Araucaria angustifolia is critically endangered!

    araucarias are more common in the cold climate of southern Chile and Patagonia , similar to the tundra biome but mixed with jungle, with rhea, guanacos and pumas, various types of deer, salmon and sea lions

    There should be like only some trees in some biomes, so per biome there would be a araucaria tree that stopped Pine nuts and sometimes rotten Pine nuts, also as a real Brazilian i have some experience with this type of tree.
