Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

It already makes mining faster, which is purposefully balanced out with it destroying some of the ore it blows up.

I think TNT is useful enough now. It can clear out large chunks of blocks and it has a 100% drop rate. Especially because of the latter, it is extremely useful in automated tree farms, concrete farms, etc.

I think what is needed is a drilling tool so that TNT can be buried in the mine and make its explosive power more effective.

For example, dig a grid of high mines on the horizontal plane, but TNT, and then use Pickaxe to right-click to push TNT into the mine.

I have to agree with the other comments here. TNT is already a really useful block in the game for farms. If you want to get more items from a mineral block, use the Fortune Enchantment on your pickaxe. It makes it possible for ores (not iron or gold) to drop more than what they ususlaly would.
