Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

and mountain biomes, not extreme mountain biomes. They can be on rocks and erode it overime, like 400 minecraft days

I like this, but I think instead of it being a new grass-type block, it can grow stones, stone-based blocks, and trees. It starts out as a single pixel, and during each growth stage (20 Minecraft days?) doubles in size. It comes in a few different colors- russet (reddish brown), yellow, light green, dark green, gray-green, blue-gray, and blue. These are the kinds I remember from hiking (There's probably more).

The color of lichen that grows in a single lichen growth stage is completely random, albeit weighted toward the types already growing on the block.

We can replace the moss stone boulders in taigas with lichen stones, and of course it would grow on trees. It would also grow all over the hills and extreme hills, a little in the jungle, and the shores of Mushroom islands (being part fungus, part algae, it grows where algae (from the ocean) meets the fungus (mycelium).
