So right now, if you were to go adventuring, you will probably need to sleep through the night. However, you’ll want to break the bed to bring it with you, meaning you‘re respawn point gets reset to the world spawn point.
What if the game tracked the last three beds that you’ve slept in?
For example, if you had slept in a bed at your home before adventuring, you could use a bed while away, break it, and if you happen to die, you’ll respawn at your home instead of at the world spawn.
So if you’ve slept in three beds already (and they haven’t been broken), and sleep in a fourth, the first end you slept on no longer becomes a viable spawn point. The second becomes the first, third becomes second, etc.
It would also be nice to have the game announce in chat when a respawn point has been set, broken, or moved
Respawn point set - as usual, or change it to: Respawn point set to bed one
Respawn point destroyed, current respawn point moved to bed two - for when you destroy the third bed you’ve slept in
And maybe you could even rename a bed with an anvil and instead of bed two it would say Home or something like that. I’m sure there’s a better way to word it, but I can’t think of anything right now.
TLDR: Minecraft should remember the last three beds you’ve slept in, making it easier to use beds when adventuring without losing your spawn point and being forced to respawn at the world spawn.
