Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Concrete pathways give player speed boost

I was actually thinking about this earlier, and how it would encourage road making. But, I think instead of a speed boost on roads, it makes more sense that we just go slower on grass.

I mean, walking on grass slows you down just a little bit in reality, so this does make sense. But nobody wants a nerf to player speed, so I guess increase speed on hard surfaces by, say 2% of the current speed, and then reduce speed on grass blocks by 2%.

This is just numbers I'm throwing out though.

Well instead of nerfing speed or a speed boost to the player, if you want roads, how about minecart speed is increased on concrete? People will now have incentive to use minecarts.

Player speed should be increased on concrete, grass path, wood planks, and sandstone. It would be slight, and most noticeable on concrete.
