There should be a chance that, in a village when a trader spawns, he will rest there. It is true that traders wander all the time, so of course they need to rest and stock up!
Everytime a player encounters a village, there should be a set chance that it will generate a “Merchant Tent”, which will be a bit far from the village, but not out of village border. It will have a light path leading to it, followed by a crafting table, chest, and a fence post for the llamas. The tent should look a bit festive, and inside will contain a bed inside it, specially reserved for the trader (this means the bed will not be used by villagers.)
And if your wondering, should the chest have loot? Maybe. Most of the time, it should NOT contain loot. But, in very, very rare occasions, a trader might have left something by accident. The chest loot table should contain all the deals the trader has, and depending on the price of it when trading with the wanderer, the rarer it should be. Buckets and fish should be a whopping scarce, while flowers and podzol should be an uncommon sight. The table should not include emeralds.
The player can still trade with the wanderer, but some or most of his deals are already locked. The wanderer will stay for 3 days, each noon includes the trader going out of the village and out of the player’s view to “explore”. He will come back as soon as the villagers start to socialize. When the trader returns from his gather, a trade should be open.
