    Diamond, Leather and Chainmail scrap? Stone Rubble?

    yeah that could be where netherite  scrap came from. lots of players scraping there armour

    @Macaroonuget I have thought about leather and diamond scraps, but I'm thinking in baby steps. The game already lets you melt down iron and gold equipment, so a change like this wouldn't be that outrageous. If it were to be implemented, it might be easier to convince mojang to follow up with leather.

    That said, I don't know how I feel about the idea of diamond "scraps." For the most part, the idea behind this suggestion is to cannibalize mob drops. Leather scraps would fit right into that, but mobs seldom spawn with diamond, so you'd only be able to scrap things you crafted yourself or got from other players. I suppose chainmail would just give you iron scraps, but less than platemail.

    Likewise, netherite, wood, and stone wouldn't really make much sense to give you scraps either. Ultimately I suppose it would depend on the devs though.
