Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Why don't you just break it? And If you want to keep the stuff in side then use a shulker box. Why add a feature that there are already solutions to? Put all your stuff in a chest, then break the barrel, and pick up all the stuff inside then move them to your new location. Simple.

Because barrels should roll!!! Also, it is an early game way to transport things without being too OP.

Here's what I was going to write for my version of the suggestion, feel free to add these points to your own version:

Rolls only 1 block in the direction opposite the player when pushed/walked into while on its side, a block isn't in the way and only when crouched but can be rolled continually. If an open door is in the way it'll roll 2 blocks in that direction to avoid the door. Can only be rolled up a block if pushed against a set of stairs. When on its side on stairs it will roll down to the bottom unless an entity, player or block is blocking it and even then entities will be damaged if it has rolled down over 4 blocks. Useful if you need to move more stuff than you have carry space for yet lack a shulker box and could be good for low tech base defense or recreating Donkey Kong as a minigame.
