Taking inspiration from netherite and encouraging more exploration of the ocean:
Just like how netherite is created from 4 scrap and 4 ingots, this material would be created from 4 prismarine shards and 4 nautilus shells, plus a heart of the sea. It could be called anything along the lines of Nautilus/Ocean/Prismarine Ingot.
Then in a smithing table, combine one (or maybe two) of the ingots with gold armour (gold because that is the treasure of ocean monuments) to yield Nautilus/Ocean/Prismarine armour, which I think would be balanced just slightly better than iron, with slightly less durability.
Taking inspiration from the unique knock back resistance of netherite armour, each piece of this armour set would provide a small increase to swimming speed and breath (alternate ideas: slight boost to damage resistance while in water, or maybe slightly slowed speed on land for a turtle theme!)
I feel the overworld needs a unique material with overworld-oriented bonuses like the nether has with netherite. Wasn’t originally thinking of a tool set, but if there was I’m sure it could have some neat boost, like increased swinging speed in water.
