Minecraft Bedrock should have own Crowdin translation project, because the Bedrock translation is of low quality in many languages.
The reason for refusing crowdfunding is unclear. Despite all the seeming contras of the "people" translation, it was still a bad choice.

Most of the translation bug reports have been unattended and were marked as resolved since they hadn't been updated for 1 year+.
This is not the only bug tracker problems. You can see more by translations tag.
Translations for Minecraft:
There is already an addon from the proofreader of Russian Minecraft translation that adds translations from Java Edition to Bedrock (https://crowdin.com/project/translations-for-minecraft), and it has own crowdin project as well.
Other solutions:
In the above post on Mojang Bugtracker, other ways to solve this problem were indicated, such as creating official Bedrock project, creating a subproject of Java translation, making the Translations for Minecraft project official and hiring other translators (which to me personally seems highly undesirable).
